It is vital to find support when your child has cancer. In this two-part episode of the “CURE® Talks Cancer” podcast, a family shares how they were able to remain strong as their 9-year-old was treated for neuroendocrine cancer.
After waiting in high anticipation for their daughter Khloe to receive a transplant surgery for neuroendocrine cancer, Lloyd and LaWanda Cox had a long road ahead of them as they supported her through the recovery process and dealt with the emotional impact cancer had on their family.
In this two-part episode of the “CURE® Talks Cancer” podcast, Khloe’s parents discuss her health post-transplant, share how love and support from family and friends kept them standing, and offer advice to other families going through similar experiences.
Listen to the first part of the Cox’s story.
“Support is so important when you're going through a really rough time,” LaWanda said. “We had a lot of people – and when I say a lot of people, I mean people all over the world praying and sending their well wishes and their positive thoughts up for Khloe.”
