Full-day event to educate, inform and challenge how patients worldwide think about breast cancer.
CURE Media Group, which reaches over a million patients, survivors and caregivers across an industry-leading multichannel platform devoted solely to cancer updates, research and education, announced Shannon Pulaski, founder of Proactive Genes and author of the children’s book “Mom’s Genes,” will be a featured panelist on the “BRCA, Hereditary Cancers, Genetic Counseling” panel at CURE®’s patient-focused meetings Saturday, March 9 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach during Physicians’ Education Resource®’s Miami Breast Cancer Conference®.
CURE®’s patient-focused sessions will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following an optional yoga session, attendees will be provided with breakfast and lunch, as well as many sessions and expert panels directed toward patients with breast cancer. Some highlighted topics include managing side effects of treatment, survivorship care planning, genetic counseling, and psychosocial, behavioral and communication issues in breast cancer care. The full-day CURE®’s patient-focused sessions is hosted in tandem with the Miami Breast Cancer Conference®. For 36 years, the Miami Breast Cancer Conference® has brought together surgical, medical and radiation oncologists, as well as geneticists, pathologists, radiologists and supportive-care specialists, to foster attendees’ awareness of state-of-the-art treatments for all stages and subtypes of breast cancer. The four-day interactive conference will explore all aspects of treatment and management of breast cancer, including screening, molecular/genetic testing, detection, primary treatments and patient support strategies.
