The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island is the ocean state’s Comprehensive Cancer Coalition and a 501c3 nonprofit. We are a passionate organization of survivors, caregivers, health care providers, and advocates. Our mission is to prevent cancer and improve the quality of life of all Rhode Islanders living with cancer through:

• Education. Sharing best practices and breakthroughs in cancer-related research with healthcare professionals and our partners.

• Advocacy. Support and advocate for legislation that will improve the lives of cancer survivors and their families.

• Supportive Resources. Develop and provide resources to support patients, caregivers, families, and providers.

The Partnership’s focus is on reducing the burden of cancer for all Rhode Islanders by working collaboratively to educate, advocate, promote research and ensure that all Rhode Islanders have access to quality care, prevention, early detection, treatment, and support services for cancer.

All funds donated to the Partnership directly support our programs which address primary prevention, screening and early detection, treatment, and survivorship. Current programming includes our annual Rhode Island Cancer Summit which is an interdisciplinary educational conference for the cancer community, our summer skin cancer screening program, breast and cervical cancer screening referral program in collaboration with local community partners, expanding the Rhode Island Cancer and Oral Health Resource Guide, working groups that identify gaps in cancer prevention and care then find solutions to address them, and recent development of our lung cancer screening webpage to promote and provide information on lung cancer screening eligibility and access.

If you are interested in becoming involved with the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island, you can sign up for our mailing list at https://www.prcri.org/get-involved. There are opportunities to become a member, volunteer, join a work group or committee, and serve on the Board of Directors.

Help us create a cancer free Rhode Island.
