For the past 10 years the End Brain Cancer Initiative has presented the HOPE award to a patient with brain cancer from the United States who deeply inspired us with his or her courage and story. We established this award, to highlight exceptional people who have done exceptional things in relation to their brain cancer journey.

Each year, we have honored some amazing individuals and they’ve deeply inspired all who’ve attend our educational meetings and events. This year, we will continue to allow patients and survivors to nominate themselves. We will also continue to incorporate a video element into the nomination process. (Optional). This is a great way to share one’s story and is quite simple to do and very much a part of everyday life for most people with a smartphone.

Please stay tuned for our upcoming announcement on when we will begin accepting nominations for this year’s HOPE award recipient. The announcement will be made in May, which is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and will be in conjunction with a virtual “meeting” with special guest speakers from the medical community and patients from the brain tumor/cancer community at large in regards to “ACCESS”. Meaning access to care, treatment modalities, financial assistance and more.
