Dec 11th Event to Feature Panel Discussion on Transforming the Pediatric Cancer Journey

[Chester, NJ] – Cancer Hope Network’s Hopeful Hearts Program is thrilled to announce its launch event, taking place on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the North Avenue Academic Building at Kean University.

This inaugural gathering aims to bring together parents of pediatric cancer patients, nonprofit organizations, healthcare institutions, and pharmaceutical companies to foster dialogue and collaboration in supporting families navigating pediatric cancer. The event will feature a compelling panel discussion titled "Closing the Gap: How Collaborative Support Can Change the Pediatric Cancer Experience."

The Hopeful Hearts program provides free, one-to-one peer mentorship for parents and guardians of pediatric cancer patients. Its unique national approach ensures accessibility for all families, regardless of location, treatment facility, or cultural and linguistic barriers. CHN’s Hopeful Hearts trained mentors have faced similar challenges and can offer emotional support, shared experiences, and practical guidance to mentees. The program is committed to fostering resilience, hope, and a sense of community for families during their most challenging times.
