There are some key discussions that men with metastatic prostate cancer should have with their health care providers.

It is important that men in this situation know their PSA levels, as well as their PSA doubling time. Then, the metastases themselves will be found via medical imaging. Since no medical imaging tool is perfect, patients and their loved ones should have conversations with their health care teams about how accurate the selected imaging method is when it comes to looking for prostate cancer metastases.
