Grateful Heart

Throughout my cancer journey and beyond, creating art has been very therapeutic for me. I created this piece as a reminder to always look for the positive in life. After my journey through cancer, I realized that I needed to appreciate all that I have and not dwell on the difficult time that I was going through. If you start each day being grateful and positive, it sets the mood for the entire day ahead, and helps you to feel better and hopeful for the future, no matter what lies ahead. This original work of art is 10” x 8”. To create this Mixed Media piece, I used Acrylics on canvas. I then collaged in different papers, some that I created using my Gelli plate. I also added in paper strips with text, to finalize the piece.
