Cancer Caregivers Needed: Give help. Get Help

Think of your five closest friends, the first five folks who pop up on your Slack or Teams channel. Chances are at least one of them is serving as a family caregiver. Many of them are caring for a loved one battling cancer.

At Cancer Hope Network, we know that caregiving brings a special set of challenges – balancing schedules, exhaustion and hope. Connecting with a fellow caregiver, a mentor who understands the blend of emotions and priorities, can help.

Our Support Volunteers provide that help to caregivers across the nation, connecting on phone calls and text conversations as part of the free and confidential peer support we’ve been providing for more than 40 years. At Cancer Hope Network, we’ve seen a growing number of requests from caregivers and loved ones looking for support.

Our current group of cancer caregiver volunteers continues to provide high-quality support, and we are looking for cancer caregivers who would like to serve as volunteers.

Our next training class will be held virtually on July 27 (registration and pre-training interview required.) Click HERE to learn more about serving as a volunteer or HERE to start your journey.
