A Champion of Champions in the Oncology World

As an oncology nurse, which is emotionally taxing and rewarding work, she manages to sprinkle kindness at all times.

To say that Kathleen Lutz, RN, NP-BC WH, goes above and beyond is an understatement. As an oncology nurse, which is emotionally taxing and rewarding work, she manages to sprinkle kindness at all times.

She has lent a hand to everyone in this toil of life. She has been my nurse for 10-plus years now, pulling me out of depression, making wise and rewarding decisions about my health care that has me still here today. She is extraordinary in her commitment to caring for patients. There is no task that is too large or too small. She has even taken the time to make lunch for patients who needed her care and loving hands.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kathleen was always available to arrange chemotherapy in locations where patients wouldn't need to do much traveling. She would make sure orders were given and treatments received safely during this trying time. Kathleen knows that this is her calling. She helps her patients through an avalanche of challenges. For those who have little or no support, she arranges services to help them and even allows them to call her on the weekend. Her kind words are like sweet sunshine that warms your life.

Kathleen is the true definition of success in her field. Her passion and kindness always shine through in a calmness during the most stressful times. I wholeheartedly nominate Kathleen, who is so deserving of the Extraordinary Healer® Award.
