Reason for Climbing:It is the patients who continue to fight myeloma, the people I have known who lost their battle, my co-workers who come in every day to chip away at the cure, and the caregivers and family members who go out of their way to make a difference.

My Story: I have worked for Takeda for 10 years, and have seen the great work MMRF has done to raise awareness and funding for myeloma research. I have run the NYC Half Marathon with the MMRF Endurance team and have also supported other Takeda employees like Bill Bruffey who has done the Ironman World Championships with MMRF. When I learned of their journey to Kilimanjaro I wanted to support the effort in any way that I could. This is a completely new adventure for me, but I’m up for the challenge! Taking one step at a time I am convinced that we are getting closer to the summit, and that means a lot to me as a person who has worked in myeloma for several years.

See you at the top!
