Although I don’t have a direct connection to Multiple Myeloma, I have long admired both the brave people battling the disease as well as all of those individuals who are working to raise awareness and resources to comfort those afflicted, as well as to find a cure. When I was offered the opportunity to provide patient support on the climb, I was very excited to say yes.

Miscellaneous: This will be my first time in Africa as well as on a formal mountain climbing expedition. I am excited to prepare for the trip with respect to the physical training as well as to familiarize myself with the environment and culture of Tanzania and the surrounding region. I will also be educating myself on the symptoms and treatment methods of multiple myeloma.
