As Erin said, we finally met the other members of the team and I'm really glad to get to know them. They are amazing people, and we are so lucky to be here, finally carrying on this project we've been working on for the last couple of months.

It may not seem like much--just a hike some might say. But just two years ago, it would have been inconceivable. You would have told me about it then and my answer would have been a sarcastic laugh. Life then was just like walking in quick sand, taking it one tiny step at a time, with my only goal easing Fred's pain and making this whole nightmare bearable for the kids. But today, what was then an unrealistic dream is now a reality: we are going to conquer the canyon as a family. Being here comforts me in my belief that nothing is impossible. Never give up and always believe.
