I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June 2018. After four rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant that year, I was in full remission by early 2019. I was incredibly grateful to get back to my passions of hiking and kayaking in early 2019 and enjoyed almost three years of remission. I started my third line of therapy in early 2022 and participated in my first fundraising trek to Greenland in July 2022. Last year I raised over $8,000 to support MMRF research.

I’m trekking to Alaska and plan to raise at least $7,500, and hope to continue to increase awareness and work toward a cure. I still love the "pay it forward" mantra and these treks help me do that.

I'm very excited about new drugs and therapies that have been developed since my diagnosis. My fundraising efforts directly support research efforts and will benefit new and future patients with myeloma.
