My personal connection to multiple myeloma began early in 2014 when I was diagnosed with this challenging disease. I am so grateful to say that today, I am in remission. I am excited to join my team in Alaska this August to show that I am resilient and that I will continue to live my life to the fullest.

I am dedicating this trek to the selfless members of the MM community and to the memory of Janice Ward, a fellow sufferer whose positive outlook, humor and grace enabled me to face my fears in a way no one else could.
