I work for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) as the Director, Events & Partnerships and am honored to have been a part of the development of the Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma Program since its inception in 2015. Nearly 3 million dollars has been raised, 100% of which goes directly to research because of the generosity of our pharma partners. Beyond those funds, the lives that this program has touched and the people it has brought together as life long friends, is just hard to describe.
My 13 years at the MMRF have afforded me the opportunity to get to know so many amazing people living with multiple myeloma and their families. Every single day, I am inspired by the strength, perseverance and courage of patients and the love and support their friends and family provide. Being a part of this Alaska Trek, which will raise critical research funds and hiking alongside others who are also committed to the MMRF’s mission to eradicate multiple myeloma, is personal for me. As a cancer survivor myself, I also count so many patients as close friends.
I'm so proud to be a part of MM4MM, which is demonstrating that patients are not only living longer but are able to take on amazing challenges that they never dreamed possible when they were first diagnosed. I'm so honored to be a part of the action, alongside myeloma patients and loved ones, that is making a huge difference in terms of awareness and funds raised to fuel research!
