Several meetings in early 2013 prepare to focus on young people with cancer.
The 2013 C4YW conference will be held Feb. 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Bellevue, Wash. Hosted by the Living Beyond Breast Cancer organization and the Young Survival Coalition, the event focuses on the needs of women under age 45 who have breast cancer or at high risk, as well as the needs of their caregivers and supporters. Travel grants and fee waivers are available. For details, visit c4yw.org. Then, in April, the sixth annual OMG! Cancer Summit for Young Adults will be held at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Sponsored by Stupid Cancer (stupidcancer.org), the April 25-28 event will bring together young adult patients, survivors, caregivers, professionals and advocates to raise awareness of and give voice to the needs of young adults with cancer.
