CURE Media Group’s flagship product, CURE® magazine, which services over a million patients, survivors and caregivers dedicated to providing cancer updates, has opened nominations for its 2020 Extraordinary Healer® Award for Oncology Nursing. This annual honor recognizes oncology nurses who have made great strides in the field of oncology or demonstrated commendable compassion in patient care.
“We are excited to be accepting nominations for next year’s Extraordinary Healer® Award for Oncology Nursing,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates, parent company of CURE Media Group. “We’re looking forward to honoring another exceptional oncology nurse who makes a positive impact in the lives of their patients.”
Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 1, 2020, and can be submitted by current and former patients, caregivers or peers in the form of a 700- to 1,000-word essay that should reflect the candidate’s outstanding contributions to the field of oncology or in a patient’s life. The selection committee will choose three finalists, who will be honored at a gala reception held in conjunction with the Oncology Nursing Society’s 45th Annual Congress, which will take place in spring 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. One nurse ultimately will be recognized with the 2020 Extraordinary Healer® Award for Oncology Nursing.
